I am proud to have adopted a beautiful Shire filly through Pegasus almost 2 yrs ago. 'Truffles' was only about 4 months old when she arrived from Canada. Never having been touched by a human other than to run her through the sale, she was very frightened & wild. It only took about 2 weeks for her to realize I was OK. She is the most trusting & loving horse I have ever raised. I look forward to riding her this year. I can't say enough about the wonderful bond you have with an animal that you have saved. It's like they know you are there for them. I have raised & shown Quarter Horses to World Championships, but the thrill of seeing this scared foal headed for a slaughter house develop into a beautiful draft mare ready for whatever I ask, is a truly rewarding feeling!
